Christians Going Their Own Way Too?

Seems like the idea of Going Ghost from a society hostile to any form of sanity is catching on with other groups outside the Manosphere.

Orthodox Christians Must Now Learn To Live as Exiles in Our Own Country

One can certainly understand the joy that LGBT Americans and their supporters feel today. But orthodox Christians must understand that things are going to get much more difficult for us. We are going to have to learn how to live as exiles in our own country. We are going to have to learn how to live with at least a mild form of persecution. And we are going to have to change the way we practice our faith and teach it to our children, to build resilient communities.

It is time for what I call the Benedict Option. In his 1982 book After Virtue, the eminent philosopher Alasdair MacIntyre likened the current age to the fall of ancient Rome. He pointed to Benedict of Nursia, a pious young Christian who left the chaos of Rome to go to the woods to pray, as an example for us. We who want to live by the traditional virtues, MacIntyre said, have to pioneer new ways of doing so in community. We await, he said “a new — and doubtless very different — St. Benedict.”

Throughout the early Middle Ages, Benedict’s communities formed monasteries, and kept the light of faith burning through the surrounding cultural darkness. Eventually, the Benedictine monks helped refound civilization.

I believe that orthodox Christians today are called to be those new and very different St. Benedicts. How do we take the Benedict Option, and build resilient communities within our condition of internal exile, and under increasingly hostile conditions? I don’t know. But we had better figure this out together, and soon, while there is time.

Just do what we do dude and get as far away from it as you can. There is no way to save a society determined to destroy itself. You are welcome to take your Christian-In-Name-Only wives with you but you already know what is going to happen to them when they look back not really wanting to leave it all behind.

Of course we will be happy to help you build that new civilization once the nukes have done their job burning up the last of it.

Until then... I'm Gone Ghosting.

"We will be happy to help you build..."

Unspoken: "... So long as we're in charge since y'all blew it last time."

St. Benedict was never a saint. A name given to him by Catholics (not Christians) only and not by God. During his pilgrimage he worshipped idols i.e. trinkets. Adding a bible quote to solidify your claims would help. I think you could refer to Acts 2:40 "And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation." Only Jesus Christ can save all of us from destruction. Romans 8:9 "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." We will always be hated for following Gods teachings. Follow the narrow path.
